Glowing Green Smoothie Bowl Recipe

Today's post is dedicated to one of my favorite go-to morning smoothies!
If you’re not a fan of leafy greens and find them hard to get into your diet, just for the pure unlove of them, this smoothie is an easy way to introduce them without noticing! Leafy greens are super for promoting clear, healthy skin, not to mention the abundance of love they give your digestion! This smoothie really fills me up in the morning and it's a great way to start your morning off with a punch of vital nutrients.
When I first started having this smoothie, I noticed within a week my skin, and eyes were so much brighter and clearer! I had more energy and actually stayed fuller for longer than usual. The avocado in this smoothie is honestly everything, avocado not only is what makes the smoothie filling due to its natural fatty content but it’s also what makes your skin THRIVE. The other great thing about this smoothie is it's also super simple.
INGREDIENTS
1/2 Avocado
1-2 handfuls of spinach (or more if you like!)
1 Tbsp flaxseed oil/ Udo's ultimate oil blend
1 Frozen banana (doesn't have to be frozen but makes it instantly cold)
Water (until you're happy with the consistency)
Optional extras
1 tsp Maca powder (gives a sweet toffee-ish flavor)
1tsp spirulina
1tsp wheatgrass
1tsp super greens powder (this usually contains the above 2)
1tsp coconut oil (healthy fats will help to make it extra filling)
Add all into a blender and you're off! Depending how much water you add/how thick you like it, this usually produces about 1 litre of smoothie. I usually have half for breakfast and the other half for brunch/mid-morning snack! Also, if you want to make it into a pretty bowl like me! top with whatever you want and you're good to go.
Smoothies are a great way to kickstart your body and digestion off, as they don't overload the system with hard to digest foods, leaving you tired before you've already started your day. Not to mention they're super healthy, actually BOOST energy and are super quick to make and store. Once you transition to smoothies for breakfast you'll honestly notice the difference.
Smoothies are best consumed fresh, as they are blended, they become essentially pre-digested and start to turn asap. I'd advise getting an airtight/blackout flask to stop it from going bad and losing its nutrient value. I use one of these and store it in the fridge until I want it and it keeps the smoothie pretty fresh.
Hope y'all enjoy this smoothie as much as I do!
